Join us for a virtual talent show, where we showcase YOUR
unique gifts and talents!
What is "Talent"? Any special skill, ability, goal achievement, or creative expression that shares a piece of YOU with the world
From piano sonatas and tap dances, to epic cartwheels and moonwalks, we want to see it ALL!
Perform Live
Share your talent under 3 minutes through a live Zoom audience
Following registration, you will receive a time-slot for your performance
Join the show at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled window ready to perform!
Pre-record
To make space for sensory and behavioral differences, participants can send in a pre-recorded video to be viewed during the show
Fill out the participation form below and select the "Pre-record" option
We will send you a separate link to upload your video (under 3 minutes)
Prior to the show, we'll send you a time window for when the video will be aired
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Limited openings are available. Register by April 7th to reserve your spot!
Autism Family Fair
The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment and UofSC's Early Social Development and Intervention Lab invite you to the Autism Family Fair at EdVenture Children's Museum on Friday, May 27th from 5:30-7:30pm!
Children with autism and other special needs will have the opportunity to explore EdVenture in a calming, adapted environment and role play as firefighters, grocers, farmers, chefs, astronauts, and more. Autism service providers in the Midlands will join the fun to share their resources.
The Autism Family Fair will feature a balloon animal twister, a juggler, and a magician, along with complimentary popcorn and Pelican's Snowballs. Admission is free for both adults and children. We hope to see you there!

Carolina Autism and Neurodevelopment Research Center Visiting Scientist Seminar Series: Dr. Brooke Ingersoll
"Increasing Access to Parent-Mediated Interventions for Autism in the Community: Project ImPACT as a Case Example"
Dr. Brooke Ingersoll, Associate Professor and Director of the MSU Autism Lab, Department of Psychology, Michigan State University
Parent-mediated intervention has a growing evidence base and is considered best practices in comprehensive care for autistic children. However, research suggests that it is under-utilized in community settings. Project ImPACT is a parent-mediated, naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention (NDBI) that was developed with the explicit goal of facilitating the use of PMI by community providers. This talk will discuss the research supporting its development, as well as training and program adaptations that can support its use in a wider range of community settings, with the goal of increasing access to parent-mediated interventions for young autistic children and their families.
